Web Designer and Developer

Media Lab-Affective Computing Group, to help develop a unique learning platform that blends the best of social, web, and mobile technologies with physiological sensing and data analytics to create state-of-the-art applications around interactive media. The platform is developing new ways of creating and interacting with stories to facilitate literacy through engagement and creativity. In addition, the role will involve the continued development of software for the collection and analysis of physiological and behavioral data. Job offers many opportunities to learn new technologies and develop original work. Will report to Professor Rosalind Picard.

Qualifications

An undergraduate degree in computer science, or related field, or relevant work experience including two plus years experience in the design of specifications for web-applications, development of complex web-applications, and deployment of Django websites and web applications. Candidate should have two plus years experience with Django, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, GIT and ideally is familiar with Linux. Ideal candidates have several complex web applications that can be viewed that demonstrate their skill and knowledge. Knowledge and examples of any of the following are a plus: IP-Throttleing issues, Apache X-sendfile, Android, graphic design.
