Speech + Mobility
Research Advisor:
Our research is about speech communication and auditory user interfaces in everyday life. Largely thanks to the advent of wireless technology, we are increasingly able to communicate with distant friends, family, and colleagues continuously and in the midst of other activities. We focus on presence, location, context, and audio processing for rich user-centered experiences with predominantly mobile technology.
What We're Looking For:
Students with some experience, or very fast learners, in auditory user interface design, context aware or ubitiquitous computing, location-aware mobile systems, or exciting uses of communication technology. At least some programming ability is assumed, but may be trumped by a good design sense or creativity.
