The theory of compressive sensing (CS) has attracted great attention since it was published a decade ago. CS has found natural applications in imaging and optical sensing sciences, yielding a great number of publications. From a decade perspective, Professor Adrian Stern will present an overview of the main achievements in optical CS engineering and discuss remaining challenges. He will survey the main applications and present representative examples form our and other's group results.

Contemporary artists use the moon as both a source of inspiration and investigation. Lunar Attraction features artworks and interactives that explore our longstanding fascination and connection with the moon, ranging from myths about the connection between werewolves and the full moon to the gravitational pull that controls Earth's tides to the 21st-century international race to build a base on the moon.

A wealth of evidence indicates that exercise programs can relieve negative affect, alleviate stress, reduce both anxiety and anxiety sensitivity, and serve as a treatment for major depression with comparable efficacy to antidepressant medications. Exercise can also act as a sleep promoter and as a cognitive enhancer, with reliable effects on brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). In this presentation, Michael Otto will review the evidence for these effects and will discuss a number of potential mechanisms of action.

John Miller will examine different aspects of dating and relationships from the perspective of a person who is on the autism spectrum, a perspective that tends to be more systematic than most people's. Some of the issues encountered apply broadly, while others may be unique to people with autism. The problems will be analyzed and solutions provided on how they can be overcome. Miller will offer strategies to foster more success in dating and to create a sound foundation for a potential relationship.
