This week I machined an aluminium tuning fork.
Diagram is Lathe (to flatten the top end, shave the diameter down to .85", and bore the hole that would later be threaded)
Mill (to flatter the bottom end and remove the material from between the "tines" of the fork")
Drill Tap (to make the threads inside the hole we bored)
It came out pretty nicely - although everyone's tuning forks had a slightly different pitch! So I guess we're not quite as precise as we could have been.
