In a CAD/CAM workshop here in the Architecture department last semester I proposed a facade system with long, moveable, slit-like apertures which moved to regulate light and view depending on the presence of an occupant or passer-by. Everyone liked the idea, but as this was a fabrication class and I was expected to actually build what I designed, I had to scrap it in the end because neither myself nor anyone else in the workshop had the necessary expertise to properly design it.
I'd like to continue developing this idea and build a small working prototype as my final project.
