If you are not shop trained, or have not completed MAS 863: "How to Make Almost Anything", DO NOT USE THIS MACHINE

If you do not know how to use this machine, or are uncertain about using any of its tools or functions, ask a trained user before continuing.

This machine is dangerous:
  1. Ensure cooling unit is running during all cutting processes
  2. "Don’t be a silly fool, always use the right tool"
  3. LISTEN to the machine. If it doesn’t sound right, you are doing something wrong, or something needs fixing.
  4. Always clean up after yourself, return the tools, and leave the machine in better condition than when you found it.
  5. IMMEDIATELY order and replace any broken tools or lenses.
  6. Never leave machine unattended during cutting operations.
  7. Check suitability of the material you are cutting
  8. Do not open chamber until fumes have had time to be evacuated. (Leave for 3 minutes before opening)
  9. ALWAYS clean lens before and after each use
