• Machine tools can hurt you
• Long hair and loose clothing can get caught in moving parts
• Always wear safety glasses
• Know how to stop the machine quickly
• Never reach in or push towards a moving tool
• Never touch chips while a machine is turning

Be Aware!

• You can hurt machine tools
• Use the right feed rate and cut depth for your material
• Change the lathe speed only when it is NOT turning
• Change the mill speed only when it IS turning
• Make sure mill toolholders are aligned before using the power drawbar
• If it sounds bad, it probably is - check your tool and feedrate

Be Responsible!

• Don't make someone else pick up after you
• Dust, sweep, vacuum up when you're done
• Put away or throw out scrap
• Don't store projects or junk in the shop
• If something is broken, make sure that it gets fixed
• If something is missing or used up, make sure that it gets replaced
