Modeling

A true to scale three-dimensional model composed of flat planes was arrayed in the X, Y, & Z modeling space.
The digital photographs taken of sponsor's and student's last year were image mapped onto the surface of the planes.
Keyframe animation was used to display alternating groups of planes and to alternate portraits on each plane.

Rendering Geometry

The render camera is set to correspond in position and scale to the geometry of the holographic recording setup. A moving plate recording geometry was to be used to make the holographic stereogram master.
The center of the image must always remain in precise alignment with the center of the master. Keyframe animation is used to precisely locate the camera for each view angle.
Fifty-three positioning and portrait animation frames were rendered for each of three different perspective viewpoints. A total of 159 individual 2D images were rendered for the optical setup.
