Levels of Sponsorship
The Lab is supported by more than 70 sponsors, including some of the world's leading corporations. These sponsors provide a large percentage of the Lab's approximately $35-million annual operating budget. Businesses represented range from electronics to entertainment, furniture to finance, and toys to telecommunications.

Levels of Sponsorship

  • Consortium Sponsor: The most frequently selected option, a consortium sponsorship connects a company with a group of other sponsors and Lab faculty and research staff focused on a common agenda. These sponsors have access to all of the research conducted at the Lab, Lab-wide visiting privileges, invitations to semi-annual sponsor-only forums, and full intellectual property rights. Consortium sponsors may also choose to enhance their sponsorship further through support of a Graduate Fellow.
  • Consortium Research Sponsor: This level of sponsorship provides all the benefits of consortium sponsorship (see above) with the added benefit of an employee-in-residence at the Lab. CRS companies may also choose to enhance their sponsorship further through supporting a Graduate Fellow.
  • Corporate or Strategic Research Partner: CRP companies enjoy all the benefits of CRS-level sponsorship—which includes an employee in residence—as well as the additional benefit of two named Graduate Fellows.
