The Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab is seeking an experienced and thoughtful resource developer to create online media and printed materials that introduce creative learning with Scratch. Help brainstorm, write, and develop inviting materials that support children and teens in learning to make projects with the Scratch creative coding environment.
Scratch (scratch.mit.edu) is a free visual programming language that engages kids in creative learning experiences. Young people (ages 8 to 16) around the world are using Scratch to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations, and share their creations with one another in an online community. Since launch in 2007, Scratchers have created more than 9 million projects in 140 countries and in more than 50 languages.
This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of extension based on funding and project priorities. This position is located at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge, MA.
