"The View" takes another look at ITV

A special "Out Of The Closet" segment will enable ABC.com visitors to purchase
online the same JCPenney fashions modeled by a co-host of ABC's "The View"
(Live; 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) on the Wednesday, May 9 program.
ABC.com is part of the Walt Disney Internet Group.

On May 9, "The View" will feature co-host Lisa Ling and her family members, show
producers, and others modeling clothes recommended for each generation for
spring and summer events such as graduation and picnics. On-air promotion during
the show will direct people to an exclusive JCPenney Fashion Photo Gallery on
ABC.com to receive more information and ultimately send them to JCPenney.com to
purchase the fashions featured on the program. The Fashion Photo Gallery will
boast spring and summer fashions in advance of the May 9 show, and attire from
the show afterwards.

"The View's" "Out Of The Closet" will also be supported by the Big Impression on
the ABC.com home page April 30-May 27, as well as a pair of newsletters e-mailed
to registered ABC.com visitors on April 30 and May 14. The Big Impression, an
oversized ad unit measuring 30 percent bigger than traditional banners, was
introduced to the Internet last September and currently is available on all Walt
Disney Internet Group sites. The Daytime Showcase unit, another oversized ad
vehicle on ABC.com, will also tout the promotion.

"The View" has received 11 Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding
Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host, honoring hosts Barbara Walters,
Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Joy Behar and Lisa Ling. The 28th annual Daytime
Emmy Award ceremony will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Friday,
May 18 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT).
"The View" features a dynamic team of women who share their daily,
no-holds-barred opinions and lively, colorful conversations. The unmatched
chemistry of the five co-hosts is the original forum where real women discuss
relevant, everyday issues.

"The View" delivered its best quarter performance in its history with 1.2
million women 18-49 for First Quarter 2001 -- up 12% from First Quarter 2000 --
the week of March 26. "The View" delivered its best sweep performance in the
program's history and also gave ABC its best February sweep performance since
1991 in the 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET, time period. "The View" delivered 1.1
million women (1.7/13), up 16% from the February 2000 sweep.

"The View" is now in its fourth season and is seen live, MONDAY-FRIDAY (11:00
a.m.-12:00 noon, ET), on the ABC Television Network. It is currently airing in
99.5 percent of the country and celebrated its 500th episode on October 19,
1999.
