In a clear sign of the new Sky interactivity era, BSkyB announced Wednesday that Sky Interactive have been commissioned by Channel 4 (UK) to develop an interactive application for satellite transmission alongside the forthcoming second series of their hugely popular "Big Brother" show. Viewers will be able to select camera angles, choose recorded action, and vote for their favorite evictee or in polls. This is the first time BSkyB has developed an interactive application for a 3rd party channel.

Other developers in the UK also offer these services such as NDS, IBM, and Sony and they are working on enhanced TV projects as well for wide distribution.
