I'm in the mood for Mexican food. What can I make with the ingredients I have in the house? Your kitchen will take stock of your staples and suggest 3-5 recipes. Or you can ask the kitchen what you can do with the risotto in your cupboard. It will see what else you have and suggest a number of recipes.

Ingredient Tallying/Inventory
Record the ingredients/staples you have Ð either on the counter or in your pantry, refrigerator, etc. You can know what ingredients are available for a given recipe, etc.

Freshness Counts
The kitchen keeps track of its perishable ingredients and makes sure they are current and fresh by alerting you to discard old milk or eggs and automatically ordering replacements. The kitchen can auto-generate a chopping list and arrange for automatic ordering and delivery of staples to your door.

Hmmm...I want...
You ask the kitchen, "What are my breakfast choices this morning?". The kitchen takes stock of what food is available and says, "You can have waffles, but you are out of syrup. You have the proper ingredients for Eggs Benedict. And you have two slices of leftover plain pizza in the refrigerator."

Sommelier
You kitchen can evaluate what you cooked for dinner, check what wine you have on hand and suggest a wine which will complement the meal. It can also take a given bottle Ð its vineyard, vintage, etc. Ð and recommend when the bottle will be at its peak for consumption.
