Description
Designer, programmer, and author Ben Fry joins fellow designer, programmer, and educator Casey Reas for a very special evening examining the relationship between technology, media, and the visual arts. Self-described as the first generation to "grow up" with computers in the house, Fry and Reas are in a fascinating position, seeking groundbreaking approaches to shaping how information is visualized and consumed. Join us for presentations by both designers followed by an unscripted conversation about the ever-changing role of the designer in the 21s century. This lecture is a part of the FUTURE/HISTORY lecture series, engaging the voices defining contemporary graphic design.
