Rebekah is a visiting doctoral candidate from the University of Cambridge, Department of Sociology.  

Rebekah graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Science, Technology, and Society. She holds a Masters in Technology Policy from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. She also spent two years working at a law firm and with a digital rights NGO in New York City prior to grad school. 

Rebekah's current research is focused on digital rights, specifically those related to privacy, data protection, erasure, and access. Her work at Civic Media is focused on exploring, using mixed methods, networked public discussion around  EU data protection laws that impact the democratic role of the press, global corporations, and regulators.
