The Personal Robots research group at the MIT Media Lab is seeking people to participate in a study that explores how social robots could help people improve their emotional wellbeing. We're looking for someone who is:
- age 60+
- speaks English
- lives in the US
- has access to Wi-Fi
to participate in our study.
Participants will receive a Jibo social robot and will interact with it for 5–10 minutes every day for up to four weeks. Each day, Jibo will ask how you are feeling, and may engage you in different activities that are designed to improve your wellbeing.
For this study, we will use a no-contact delivery method for the study device and will provide you a disinfecting kit and instruction manual. The study device will be returned at the end of the study, and we will provide the return label.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out this sign-up form (https://forms.gle/sutcD77EeEuGTRRh8) by 5/22/2021. We will contact you when we are ready to launch the study early June.
You can also reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
