Hi, I'm Xiàjié Zhāng. I am a second-year Ph.D. student at the Personal Robots Group at M.I.T., advised by Professor Cynthia Breazeal. 

I believe in the value of good pedagogy in promoting personal growth and bridging equity for people from different backgrounds; as a result, most of my work is about designing, developing, and evaluating AI systems that provide pedagogical values and enhance meta-cognitive skill growth. Currently, I'm building effective pedagogical AI systems for K-12 learners and exploring research in socio-technical challenges for educational technology. I've also built a chatbot for mental wellness education.
