Talk WHAT: Iñaki Goirizelaia (School of Engineering, Bilbao, Spain): "An Electronic Secure Voting System Based on Automatic Ballot-Reading" WHEN: July 6, 2004, 3:00 PM EST WHERE: MIT Media Lab (E15-235) HOSTED BY: Ted Selker SUMMARY: In this talk, Goirizelaia will describe a new electronic secure voting system, based on automatic ballot-reading, which can be utilized to offer efficient help to officials and party representatives during elections. The paper also describes a new voting system architecture and how the OCR system, used to automatically read ballots, is implemented in it. Finally, validation tests are shown and some concluding remarks are presented.
