CSE 656:    RESEARCH TOPICS IN COMPUTER VISION AND COMPUTER GRAPHICS

CLASS INFORMATION:

Lectures: Friday 12:30 - 2:00pm
Location: Computer Science Bldg. room 2313A

Instructor: Prof. M. Alex O. Vasilescu
       Office Hours: Thu 4-5pm

Course Description: This seminar will familiarize graduate students with selected current research topics in the fields of computer vision and computer graphics. It will emphasize fundamentals of pattern analysis, statistical learning, tensor algebra and physics based modeling for vision and graphics.

We will analyze one paper per class. Students are required to read every paper before class. Each class will start with a presentation about the topic of the day, followed by a classroom discussion.
