Mission statement: 
Sparking imagination and discussion about the social, cultural, and ethical implications of new technologies through design and storytelling.

The Design Fiction group creates work that stimulates discussions about the social, cultural, and ethical implications of new technologies through design and storytelling. The group also explores alternative ways to encourage debate via popular culture and online media.

What We're Looking For: 
  • Students who have a strong interest in emerging technology and its impact on everyday life
  • Students who have a unique, fresh approach that’s meaningful and relevant today
  • Good background in Speculative Design, Model-Making, Graphics and Film a plus
  • Good background in any of Synthetic Biology, Bioengineering and Electronics a plus but not required
  • Excellent art/design portfolio
