Longtime Arlington resident Richard Bolt spent most of his professional life as a scientist, researching the complex interactions between people and computers. Since retiring from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, though, he’s allowed another of his passions--seemingly a polar opposite of his research interests--to blossom, that of a mystery novel writer.
