Ellen is a 22-year veteran of the Media Lab. She has written for the Harvard School of Public Health, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Health Care International (Scotland), the Harvard AIDS Institute, and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Before joining the Media Lab, she served as associate director for MIT’s Office of Communications, Resource Development, and previously as a reporter for the MIT News Office. She is the author of Rock the Casbah (Dell, 1996). She serves on the board of directors of the Coolidge Corner Theatre Foundation .
