- MIT Center for Constructive Communication
As a Program Lead with realtalk@MIT, Marina works to bring theoretical research deas into practice via on-campus implementation projects. They bring experience in human-centered design, community-based participatory research methods, and psychotherapy for a unique perspective on constructive communication.
Previously, Marina has coordinated research projects focused on a variety of behavior-change processes -- sometimes exploring how to change behavioral patterns that reinforce symptoms of depression or how healthcare providers can incorporate tenets of cultural humility to better engage with and treat marginalized patients. They have a BS in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University and a Master of Social Work degree from Boston College.
Outside work, Marina is an avid reader (focusing on slice-of-life fiction and sociology, but always looking for a new book recommendation in any genre!). They also crochet blankets (and animals), run along the Charles River, and dabble in contortionist training.
