Paula works as part of a collaborative and cross-disciplinary team in engaging users, supporting the OpenAg community, and piloting program and education initiatives.
With a diverse nutrition science background, her experience focuses primarily on community, education and research dietetics. Before joining OpenAg, she worked at Tufts University conducting public health research, where she assessed the impact of a targeted messaging campaign in amplifying consumer demand for healthful food choices in quick-serve restaurants. The research findings were leveraged to develop a business case for healthier kids’ meals. She also evaluated the efficacy of a school-based physical activity program in improving the physical literacy of children in under-served, urban communities.
Paula is an adjunct faculty member at Simmons College, teaching courses in Leadership in Nutrition Management and Food Production and Service Systems.
