Research Affiliate Dr. Elena Cirkovic recently published a chapter entitled "Formless Infinite: Law beyond the Anthropocene and the Earth System" in The Routledge Handbook of International Law and Anthropocentrism (2023), edited by Vincent Chapaux, Frédéric Mégret, and Usha Natarajan.  Her publication follows a keynote presentation with the interdisciplinary “Ocean-Space-Ocean” edition of the “More-Than-Planet” symposium series, which brought together artists and researchers to question the role of the oceans in planetary balances and the perspectives offered by marine biodiversity in the ecological transition. The event took place on 16-17 May 2023 at Délégation Wallonie Bruxelles (Paris) in the frame of 28th International Symposium on Electronic Art ( ISEA 2023). Elena's argument is that outer space sustainability needs to be viewed in the context of complex Earth-outer space system interactions and proposes complex adaptive system approach to outer space law.
