Ehsan Hoque named Distinguished Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

Ehsan Hoque, an alum of the Affective Computing group, has been honored as a Distinguished Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). He is now among 67 members of the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society selected by their peers for work that has spurred innovation, enhanced computer science education, and moved the field forward.

Hoque's research focuses on dynamics of human behavior through machine learning, computer vision, and network sciences to promote equity and access in both education and health care. The Distinguished Members Grade recognizes ACM members with at least 15 years of professional experience and five years of Professional Membership in the last 10 years who have achieved significant accomplishments or have made a significant impact on the computing field.
