Randi Williams, a PhD student in the Personal Robots group, was a recipient of the 2019 Unsung Hero Award from the Office of Graduate Education. One of the MIT Multicultural Awards, the Unsung Hero Award is presented to an undergraduate and graduate student from the MIT community who have demonstrated that leadership isn’t always defined by title and position.

The Unsung Hero Award recognizes Randi as an asset to the community—someone who has shown commitment and passion for the community regardless of leadership position, and shown a willingness to support efforts of diversity and inclusion.
