On the evening of Friday, October 24th, a generative portal will open at the MIT Chapel. What you see inside will depend on you - and the other strangers who peer in beside you.
We invite you to join us for an AI Séance, inspired by the radical inquiry of 20th century painter Hilma af Klint. Instead of spirits, we encounter an altogether different kind of Other-- AI-- and question its ever growing role in our lives, by searching for answers as a collective. In this guided 60 minute experience, you'll be grouped with other strangers from within the MIT community and prompted to wander on an interpretive journey through the collective unconscious.
Based on three years of practice, this experience offers an opportunity to get to know others in the community, experiment with AI in alternative ways you've never experienced, and critically explore the role AI plays in helping us make sense of our lives.
