Talk by Karlheinz Brandenburg, director of the Fraunhofer Institute of Digital Media and recognized authority on audio signal processing and acoustics. Dr. Brandenburg is known as a prime innovator behind the MP3 standard, and his work goes well beyond that, into audio wavefront synthesis, etc (the IDM was created especially for him to explore the frontier of digital audio). He’s keynoting at the Acoustics ’17 conference in Boston, and will be giving a talk at the Media Lab entitled:  "Audio and Acoustics Signal Processing: The Quest for High Fidelity continues."
