"You all belong in our engineering profession. We need you. The world needs you." On Saturday, June 11, Media Lab director Dava Newman spoke at the investiture ceremony for Dartmouth's Thayer School of Engineering and received the school's highest honor, the Robert Fletcher Award.
On Sunday, June 12, Dartmouth College awarded Dava Newman an honorary doctor of science, for her "outstanding achievements in aerospace engineering…visionary leadership of our country’s space program, and…passion and commitment to exploration, education, and innovation in the broadest sense."
