The International Fair of Children and Youth Book (FILIJ) aims to encourage the habit of reading among children and young people of Mexico; and bring together publishers, booksellers, distributors, librarians, teachers and specialists, in order to raise the quality and quantity of publications circulating in the Mexican market. Also aims to compare experiences, promote exchange with other countries and bring the public to national and international issues.
The activities presented in the show cater to an audience of 0-18 years. In parallel, information on the publishing industry is promoted and the professionalization of the cultural sector dedicated to the creation, study, promotion and distribution of children's books are encouraged.
Throughout its history, the FILIJ has sought to create spaces to exhibit and discuss issues that revolve around books and reading in no training spaces. Has gained visibility in the international circuit, integrating several of its events specialists editorial processes, research and experience of promoting the reading culture. The International Meeting of Culture and Lectora Professional Activities are presented as axes concept of the show, through forums for sharing experiences through exchange and dialogue. 
The FILIJ be held from 7 to 17 November 2014, from 10:00 to 20:00 am at National Arts Centre (Cenart) in Rio Churubusco, esq. Calzada de Tlalpan. Colonia Country Club, CP 04220, Mexico City. Admission is free.
