Description

The Smart Cities group will demonstrate a new sustainable system of urban mobility, "Mobility on Demand" (MoD). MoD systems consist of lightweight electric vehicles distributed throughout an urban area at electrical recharge stations. Users access vehicles by swiping a credit card, and can pick up and drop off vehicles at any station. This workshop will showcase three vehicles designed for this new system—the CityCar, RoboScooter, and GreenWheel bicycle—and provide a forum for exploring the urban, economic, communications, and logistics of implementing MoD.
