E14 Fund is the early-stage venture capital firm from and for the MIT / Media Lab startup community. Their mission is to serve the whole community; their business model is investing in a subset of the community. They invest in scalable, deep-tech startups and donate a portion of profits to MIT.
It was created in 2013 to build and invest in the MIT / Media Lab Venture community. It helps scientists and entrepreneurs scale their impact through venture creation. E14 Fund invests in early-stage deep tech startups in many areas, including climate tech, industrial automation, digital health, life sciences, mobility, development tools, and more...
It has backed more than 100 Media Lab companies and organized dozens of events and programs for the Media Lab startup community.
