Bogang is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Collective Learning Group within the MIT Media Lab, working with Prof. Cesar Hidalgo. Her research focuses on economic growth and economic geography with interest in why some countries/regions are rich and others are poor.
Prior to joining MIT, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hohenheim in Germany and a lecturer of Seoul National University in South Korea. Bogang received a PhD in Economics and a BA in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University. Before starting her PhD study, she worked at LG Chem as a process engineer.
