  • Biomechatronics

Christina is a Research Assistant in Biomechatronics focused on the design and comfort of the non-mechanical interface between a patient and their prosthesis.

Her broad interest in biomechanics and bio-inspired design as well as hands-on approach have led her though a variety of disciplines ranging from mechanical testing at GelSight to gene editing research at City of Hope National Medical Center. Christina earned her BA in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech before continuing on to pursue a Master's from the Media Lab.

She hopes to improve accessibility to comfortable prosthetics by applying her engineering and problem-solving skills to the ongoing effort of quantifying a historically qualitative prosthetic fitting process.
