Senior Scientist
Casey's career path bifurcated after the Media Lab: he co-founded, and continues to work for, a tech company dedicated to spectral imaging. While the skills he learned at the lab serve him well for the type of science and engineering he does there, Casey also continues to work with projects more in line with his thesis research- working with artists to help them navigate the world of technology.
How did your experience at the Lab influence your next step?
In one sentence: The Media Lab taught me that I can learn anything I need to, and helped me discover my personal heuristics for this continual learning process.
Recognize that the best part of the Lab is the people, and while you might have to work harder to find a group of intelligent and creative individuals that share a spirit similar to Lab, they exist everywhere!
