- Personal Robots
My research focuses on developing intelligent multimodal embodied agents—i.e., social robots—that can perceive, reason, and behave in socially intelligent ways. I work on (1) building multimodal models for social interactions, (2) advancing machine learning algorithms that can leverage naturally occurring multimodal context and reward (i.e. human behavior and reactions), and (3) deploying these agents in real-world settings such as education, mental health, and everyday social interaction. My research is generously supported by the Schwarzman College of Computing Amazon AI Research Innovation Fellowship.
