Elinor is a Master's student at the MIT Media Lab Center for Constructive Communication. She completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montréal, Canada in Honours Mathematics and Computer Science. Her research background is in Natural Language Processing (NLP), with a particular focus on addressing harmful biases in large language models to promote fairness and safety. She is passionate about equitable, pluralistic, safe AI for the benefit of all. Her research interests include fairness & societal impacts of LLMs, pluralistic alignment, and developing equitable human-centered AI. In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and nurturing a growing collection of house plants.
