Isabella Lanata is Senior Communications and Media Manager for the MIT Media Lab, where she serves as the Lab's primary press contact and brings stories of innovation, research, and technology to journalists and the broader public. With over seven years of communications experience in government, public affairs, and agency work, Isabella brings expertise in working with media, developing messaging strategy, and creating content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Before joining the Media Lab, Isabella served as Deputy Press Secretary in the Office of Governor Maura Healey. There, she built relationships with reporters across local, national, and trade media, and worked across the administration to ensure everyone was aligned on communications priorities and messaging. Her earlier work in agency and public affairs at CTP Boston taught her how to work under pressure, solve problems quickly, and take complicated topics and make them clear and interesting for people to understand.
Isabella holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations from Boston University College of Communication.
