Chris Perry

Former Alumnus, Perceptual Computing

MS 1994
Professor of Media Arts & Sciences, Hampshire College

Chris  worked in the computer animation industry at both Rhythm & Hues Studios and Pixar before returning to Massachusetts to teach at Hampshire College. In addition to teaching, he develops and produces independent films under the Bit Films umbrella.

Chris' MS thesis at the lab focused on a method for synthesizing interactive CG fire. At the time he graduated, there were a number of problems like this being solved in production at the major CG houses. His first work after graduation was to develop code to generate whatever specific visuals were needed for a given job.

Immerse yourself fully in your classwork and in your work at the lab. This is a terrific time to learn.
