- Tangible Media
Penny Webb is a second-year master’s student in the Tangible Media group at the MIT Media Lab, where her work includes developing tangible user interfaces, material research, and design tools. For her thesis research, Penny is creating tools for interaction prototyping, whereby feedback such as sound can be easily iterated early on in the design process. The aim of the research is to enrich the prototyping experience for designers and developers, by making it possible to indicate interactivity at the pen and paper sketching phase. Prior to joining the Media Lab, Penny completed a master’s in product design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, Netherlands, and worked as a product designer in Antwerp, Belgium. Her work has been exhibited internationally, with projects nominated for awards including the Design Museum London's Design of the Year.
