Chayapatr (Pub) Archiwaranguprok is a Thai researcher and creative technologist working in the field of human-computer interaction, information science, and applied computing. His research has been presented at conferences including ACM CHI, ACM IUI, ACM Hypertext, the ACM-IEEE Joint Conference on Digital Libraries, and NeurIPS Creative AI.
His recent work on AI-induced false memories received a Best Paper Award at ACM CHI 2025 and has been covered in publications such as TIME, Bloomberg, and The Atlantic. He has also contributed as a technologist to Cyber Subin, a dance performance that has toured in Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, and opened the 2025 Holland Festival in the Netherlands.
Before joining the MIT Media Lab, Pub co-founded Creatorsgarten, a collective of creative technologists in Thailand. The group organizes community-driven projects such as the Stupid Hackathon Thailand (now in its ninth year), A Bit of Thai Tunes, an audiovisual performance in collaboration with Museum Siam and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and Creative Coding x Dataset Marketplace with the Cache Collective and the Goethe-Institut Thailand.
He has worked as a technical advisor on the Netflix series Mad Unicorn, previously served as editor-in-chief of Spaceth.co, a Thai-language media outlet focused on space, and was a host on Starstuff, a science communication program on ThaiPBS.
He ran a marathon once, and has no intention of doing it again.
