CTO-for-hire
After graduating from MAS, Steve worked in technology R&D and went on to hold senior roles at Apple, Orange/France Telecom, and VMware. In addition, he founded two venture-backed startups and was the CTO at Flipkey (division of TripAdvisor) and for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Currently, Steve is an interim CTO-for-hire, a mentor at Harvard iLab, and a visiting scholar at the Wyss Institute where he focuses on biomolecules applied to data and security.
How did your experience at the Lab influence your next step?
The Media Lab taught me to get new kinds of answers by asking different kinds of questions. It ruined me for "normal" work, but opened many new doors for one-of-a-kind jobs.
