Yasith Samaradivakara is a freestyle technologist, researcher, and engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a background spanning Information and Embedded Systems, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence. His research focuses on Behavioral AI, Personalization, and Proactive Interactions, exploring how multimodal, always-on wearables and intelligent systems can understand and support people in everyday life while remaining unobtrusive, accessible, and respectful of human agency.
For more than a decade, he has worked across research labs, startups, and large technology companies, building and deploying hardware, software, and AI systems. His research has been published at leading venues, including CHI, EMNLP, IUI, UIST, and Augmented Humans, and has received recognition from Meta Reality Labs Research, Google Research, and Prototypes for Humanity.
