Digital single market conference on the free movement of data (see Professor Alex "Sandy" Pentland from minute 36)

The priorities of the Estonian Presidency are actively focused on creating a digital single market within the EU. The digital single market cannot be built without a special emphasis on the free movement of data among member states. The free movement of data provides a visionary framework for accessing, sharing and (re)using data not only between public authorities and private companies but across all member states’ borders. The Digital Single Market conference is the place to meet for EU competitiveness and telecommunications ministers, top-level representatives of the EU Parliament and Council of the EU to give the Estonian presidency a very digital kick-off.
