Media Lab alumni Xin Liu (Fluid Interfaces) and Nan Zhao (Responsive Environments) are collaborating on a generative art project titled Lycorises. The series was initially inspired by the work of Ernst Haeckel, a 19th-century German zoologist known for his colorful, detailed scientific illustrations.
In the most recent iteration of the work, Lycorises Reverie, Liu and Zhao have created an immersive installation that will be on display at FLANNELS X in London from October 6–8, 2023, as part of the “Masterpiece of Tomorrow” collection commissioned by The Dalmore.
