Dr. Minoo Rathnasabapathy and Prof. Danielle Wood participate in the US-Africa Space Forum as part of the US-Africa Leaders Summit held in Washington, DC from December 13-15.  Minoo will speak as an invited panelist. The event will include discussions of the project that Space Enabled is pursuing with the national space agency of Angola, funded by NASA's Applied Sciences program.

Themed as “Strengthening the 21st Century U.S.-Africa Partnership in Space,” the U.S.-Africa Space Forum seeks to leverage outer space to meet shared goals for the U.S.-Africa relationship here on Earth.  This Forum will include discussion on the use of space to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and capacity building, and the role of the private sector in supporting U.S.-Africa Partnership.

The U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit is an event where President Biden is hosting leaders from across the African continent. All livestreams for the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit will be accessible on this page. The Summit will demonstrate the United States’ enduring commitment to Africa, and will underscore the importance of U.S.-Africa relations and increased cooperation on shared global priorities.
