Media lab alum David Sengeh (Biomechatronics) was named to the Leaders category of the 2023 TIME100 Next List. The recognition, which was written by Melinda French Gates, highlights his work at the Media Lab, where he used cutting-edge technology to improve the fit and feel of prosthetic limbs, and his current position as chief minister of Sierra Leone. 

The list honors 100 individuals across five categories: Artists, Phenoms, Innovators, Leaders, and Advocates. The list aims to recognize rising leaders in health, climate, business, sports, the arts, and more.
