Margaret Hughes and Cassandra Overney from the Center for Constructive Communication received an Honorable Mention for their project "Voice to Vision" as part of the MIT Prize for Open Data.
Developed with the New York City Department of City Planning and community co-designers, "Voice to Vision" visualizes how residents’ input has shaped the Jamaica Neighborhood Plan. The project demonstrates how open data can make community engagement processes more transparent and inclusive.
The MIT Prize for Open Data, presented by the MIT School of Science and the MIT Libraries, recognizes projects that exemplify the principles and impact of open data in research and collaboration.
Celebrate this year's winners at the Open Data @ MIT event held on October 21 , at the MIT Hayden Library.
