The Personal Robots group is running a study from July 8-18, 2019 to understand how we can design interactive robot technologies for the smart home to help families stay connected. We would love to have you and your child participate in a workshop activity to get to know the various voice controlled social agents currently available on the market and tell us your thoughts about them.
If your child is 5+ and speaks English fluently, we would like to invite you and your child to participate in a research study conducted at the MIT Media Lab.
You must NOT OWN an Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple Homepod, or any other voice activated smart speaker/physical device.
If you engage in this study, you and your child will take part in fun activities with the social agents! The whole activity will last around 1.5 hours. There is no monetary compensation for participation, but we hope that you will enjoy the experience of playing with the social agents!
If you are interested in joining us, please choose an open time slot from the link below: https://mit-agent-interaction-study.youcanbook.me
Please note that the study will be conducted at the Personal Robots group lab space at the MIT Media Lab (Room E15-468, Building E15). We are located at 20 Ames St, Cambridge, MA 02142.
Thank you for considering to participate in social agent research!
